stream new wild nothing lp 'nocturne'

Next week, the sophomore album from dream pop savant Jack Tatum arrives. His bedroom project, Wild Nothing, has blossomed into a full blown band with a real recording budget. The result, Nocturne, is more focused and polished, but Tatum’s uneasy vocals and Robin Guthrie meets Robert Smith fretwork remain.

Wild Nothing doesn’t have the flat out hooks to mimic the success of its new wave touchstones, but it can stand up to any of its dream pop contemporaries. Check out the full album stream below.. I’m already partial to “Counting Days”:

Nocturne is out August 28th on Captured Tracks.
