stream talk talk's 'living in another world' as covered by lights & darkstars

This September, the legacy of seminal synthpop act Talk Talk will be celebrated with Spirit of Talk Talk. The two disc tribute is curated by former Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder, who also provides two covers under his Recoil moniker.

Some of the other artists paying respects are Zero 7, Jason Lytle, Duncan Sheik and White Lies. Canadian electropop songstress Lights and London dubstep crew Darkstars provide one of the highlights — a soaring, beautiful rendition of “Living In Another World.” If the word ‘dubstep’ frightens you, know that Darkstars are signed to former Talk Talk keyboardist Ian Curnow’s label, so it’ll be okay:

Spirit of Talk Talk will be released September 3rd on Fierce Panda Records with proceeds benefitting conservation organization BirdLife International. A Spirit of Talk Talk book is also set for release, collecting the illustrations of Talk Talk cover artist James Marsh, handwritten lyrics from Mark Hollis, and 80 written contributions from the likes of Elbow’s Guy Garvey, The The’s Matt Johnson, Paul Hartnoll of Orbital, Jimi Goodwin of Doves, and Underworld’s Karl Hyde.
