'and I'm up' – new a place to bury strangers

In the first look at Worship, NYC’s A Place To Bury Strangers set scenes of lust, assault and general depravity to a rush of paint-peeling feedback.

On the latest track, “And I’m Up,” Oliver Ackermann is no sunnier, singing “Either way I choose, the choice is wrong, so I choose wrong, I’m always wrong.” However, it’s a much more tuneful effort, based on the early surf-punk embraced by so many Jesus And Mary Chain acolytes:

Worship arrives June 26 on Dead Oceans, and APTBS have announced a string of summer dates including a record release show July 27 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
