download the soft moon + john foxx 'evidence'

The Soft Moon, San Francisco’s Luis Vasquez, gained our attention with last year’s ominously excellent Total Decay EP. Vasquez now has a full band and is currently working on a full length debut for Captured Tracks, but in the meantime he’s shared a little collaboration with a founding father of electronic music.

John Foxx was the original vocalist for Ultravox — later replaced by Midge Ure — who by the way are releasing their first new album with Ure since 1986 later this year. Foxx lends a stately vocal to “Evidence,” a sparse and atmospheric track that builds to a deliberate, yet epic close:

John Foxx and The Maths will be appearing at the UK’s Bestival this fall.
