Brooklyn’s Dive will release debut full length Oshin June 26th on Captured Tracks. Contemporaries of fellow New Yorkers Beach Fossils (Dive frontman Zachary Cole Smith is a touring guitarist), they’ve hit the sweet spot between jangle pop and shoegaze. Second single “Human,” with b-side “Big Joke,” takes a huge leap production-wise and is really quite pretty:
Last month’s single “Geist” heads into krautrock territory, with reverb rich vocals and guitar washing over a motorik beat:
Not sure how it’s taken me this long to get wise to Dive, but absolutely looking forward to this album and catching them on the road with Frankie Rose.
