listen: 'onwards to the wall' ep from a place to bury strangers

If you wish every Jesus And Mary Chain song sounded like “Reverence,” then Brooklyn’s A Place To Bury Strangers are squarely in your wheelhouse. The thunderous shoegazers return next week with the release of EP Onwards To The Wall on Dead Oceans.

Clocking in around 16 minutes, the EP is a sonic assault that pushes the limits of loud. With reverb washed vocals, fuzz bass and snarling guitars, this is the kind of menacing stuff kids blast behind closed doors to freak out their parents.
