English electro trio Saint Etienne have released their first music in seven years, a single entitled “Tonight.” Culled from an as yet untitled forthcoming album, it’s unashamed disco pop. As co-founder Bob Stanley describes:
“‘Tonight’ is about the anticipation of going to see your favourite group. For some reason, I imagine this show is at the Forum in Kentish Town. The whole album is about the power of pop, how it affects and shapes your life.”

Quite honestly, Saint Etienne have been off my radar since ’93’s So Tough — but when it comes to early 90’s nostalgia, nothing gets me quite like their debut single, a cover of a Neil Young classic:
