Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have followed up their Oscar-winning soundtrack for The Social Network with another promising work for yet another David Fincher film. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo opens December 21st, but the “sprawling three-hour opus” soundtrack will be available December 9th. The highlight, a clip of which was featured in a previous trailer, is the cover of the Led Zeppelin classic “Immigrant Song” with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ Karen O on vocals. It’s as industrial and foreboding as anything Reznor has ever done, and Karen O does a fine job matching Robert Plant howl for howl:
If you’re not scared of spoilers, an 8-minute trailer for the film was just released as well. Reznor points out that the trailer was scored separate from the film, so it’s rather like a mini movie. Stream it below:
