Portland trio Blouse — Charlie Hilton, Patrick Adams and Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Jacob Portrait — released their self-titled debut album today on Captured Tracks.

True to the label’s gauzy new wave sound, Blouse has Simon Gallup basslines and warbling synths. In fact, “Time Travel” is pretty much The Cure’s “A Forest.”

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There’s a detached charm to Charlie Hilton’s voice and the whole thing comes together in a hauntingly beautiful way. Check out the entire album via The Fader:
