'kensington system' & 'edward the confessor' from breton


Breton are an experimental 5-piece from west London. Their first single will be released November 21st, with debut album Other People’s Problems — which was recorded at Sigur Ros’ Iceland studio — due out in February.

So far, Breton have remixed the likes of Local Natives and toured in support of Tom Vek. The first track of the double a-side single, “Kensington System,” has gotten airplay from BBC Radio’s Zane Lowe, which is a good sign. It’s unmistakably English, with a thick low end and some Athlete-style casio keyboards:

A video for the flip side, “Edward the Confessor,” was released today. Featuring clips from visual artist Niall O’Brien, it’s equally intriguing:
