chairlift 'sidewalk safari' and 'amanaemonesia'


Brooklyn’s Chairlift will release its third album, Something, early next year. The duo has been fairly under the radar to this point — most notably the song “Bruises” was used in an iPod nano spot, Patrick Wimberly produced the Das Racist album, and Caroline Polachek appeared on the new Washed Out record.

Today, new Chairlift single “Sidewalk Safari” premiered. It’s got lots of percussion elements, a cool spoken word bridge and a wicked keyboard sound. Download it here:

It’s almost as catchy and weird as the album’s first single, “Amanaemonesia”:

Look for Something in the UK via Young Turks on 1/23 and the next day on Columbia in the US.
