radiohead live in nyc + stream remix album

So Radiohead were a no-show at the Occupy Wall Street protest in New York City last week, but it was an oddly busy week of self promotion, with appearances on SNL, Colbert and Fallon (to air tonight) — plus a couple of jam packed shows at the Roseland Ballroom.

Prefix magazine found a nice multi-camera video of The Bends classic “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” from the 9/28 Roseland show. Check it out:

Meanwhile, The King Of Limbs has been getting the remix treatment over the summer from the likes of Caribou and Jamie xx. Personally, I’m not quite down with the remix culture — but Thom Yorke thinks it’s a grand idea. He qualified his thoughts by saying “I didn’t just want floorfillers and all that shit, I just wanted to see how the songs could really branch out and mutate.”

The collected remixes will be released October 11th as TKOL RMX 1234567. As you can hear below, courtesy the hype machine, there certainly aren’t any “floorfillers.” Listen to the limits of TKOL pushed even further:

UPDATE — Here’s “Give Up The Ghost” on Fallon:

I was there Wednesday for the show at Roseland. As amazing as you would expect it to be.

TKOL RMX 1234567 has been in constant rotation in my Spotify account the past couple of weeks. Highly recommended.
