the rifles 'tangled up in love'


London’s The Rifles will release their third full length, Freedom Run, September 20th.

When they arrived on the scene in 2006, they specialized in angular post-punk in the vein of The Strokes, or in the UK, The Libertines. Lead single “Tangled Up In Love” suggests The Rifles have migrated toward jangle pop with bits of The La’s or Echo And The Bunnymen thrown in.

    Tangled Up in Love certainly has an Echo and the Bunnymen vibe to it. I also heard Paul Weller in there if he had stayed as the Jam for 10 more years. Great stuff. Really castchy.
