Friendly Fires and XL have given us some more peeks at Pala, the much anticipated sophomore album due May 24.

“Hawaiian Air” is far less jubilant than “Live Those Days Tonight,” but it still has its moments. It’s got an intriguing bass sound, shows less reliance on tribal rhythms and is a pretty straight narrative about the long flight to Hawaii:

And if you missed the video for “Live Those Days Tonight,” it bears a repeat mention. Entitled the “Back to ’89 Rave Montage,” it’s the result of singer Ed Macfarlane’s youtube research upon being told that kids today don’t know how to party like we used to:
